Week 72 (Bacolod)

Maayong aga sa inyo tanan! Good morning to you all!

This is the last week of this transfer and I can't believe how fast it's gone.

P day Festivities: We went to the SM and got Krispy Kreme :D and then made grilled cheese out of them. DELICIOUS. 10/10 would recommend

On Tuesday, we took a field trip to Talisay to train in Bata district. It also happened to be Sister Bise's birthday. We gave an awesome training and got to eat spaghetti, french bread with butter, green jello with whip cream, and cake! It was so crazy, felt like a step into America.

On Wednesday, we had a mission wide cleaning day. Spent the whole day opening and cleaning out scary cabinets. No giant spiders so that's good. We ordered pizza for lunch :)
We did exchanges with Talisay sisters so I worked with Sister Burkhardt in this Bacolod 2nd area. Fun to be with my batch!

On Saturday, Andrea got baptized!!! She is 14 years old and we visited her mom a while ago before Christmas who was inactive. But once we visited her she started coming to church every Sunday! Then we met her daughter who isn't a member. So we started teaching her and she came to church with her mom. She was shy to go to YW so we went with her the first time. And at her baptism they sang a musical number and then afterward they practiced singing for their New Beginnings next Sunday so Andrea joined them! I'm so happy for the YW to help her in her transition to being a member of the Church. She's so cute :D
I love being a missionary!

  1. I always love to read about Cailtin in the Philippines. These kids of ours are pretty amazing. They are having wonderful adventures and impressing me by all the good they do.
