Week 69 (Bacolod)

Maayong aga!
Kamusta kamo (How are you?)?

Thank you to the emails you have sent me! I am sorry I'm not always able to reply, our time is limited but I really appreciate hearing from you!

This week was a good solid week. We are very tired but we don't let that hinder us. We had MLC on Wednesday and learned lots of great things from our mission leaders and I saw almost all my MTC batch! IT's fun to chat for a little bit especially since us sisters are nearing the end and the elders are the same +6 months. I'm so grateful for the friends I have made from the MTC til now and that have remained friends through the mission and I hope afterward too.

The star of this week is Sister Jonavie. She read in the Book of Mormon after we taught about the Restoration and she prayed about it. She told us she knows it and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. We assigned her to read 2 Nephi 31 and when we visited again and asked about her reading she said it was good and it made her excited for baptism! But she says repentance must come first! WOW She's so ready! We hadn't even mentioned baptism yet, she beat us to it. We offered for her to pick when her baptismal goal date will be. I explained the earliest is Feb 9 but that would mean you can't drink coffee at all starting now ( we had taught her the Word of Wisdom this week  so she's already been working on stopping coffee) I suggested Feb 16 so she could work on more week on getting rid of coffee but she chose Feb 9 . I was a little surprised but I know through faith in Christ, anything is possible.

Then yesterday Elder Holland spoke at a multi-stake conference broadcasted to the whole Philippines. It was amazing!!! He spoke a lot about how we need to prepare our homes and families for the Second Coming of the Lord because although we don't know when it will happen, it will happen. And we must be ready to present the Lord with His church. It was so amazing!!!!

Love you all! Always be anxiously engaged in a good cause :)
