Week 71 (Bacolod)

Maayong aga sa inyo tanan!

Time is short and everyone in our house keeps getting sick but here are some things we did this week:
Exchanges - I worked with Sister Singleton this week! I love getting to work with lots of missionaries its so fun! But I think the best part is seeing them mature and change and grow and love missionary work. I am so grateful to have the assignment where I can help other missionaries to become better. I also LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. I can't say that enough :D

Farewell of Elder Beradas - We attended the farewell party of a missionary leaving from our ward. He will serve in Davao mission. It was super fun to see him starting his mission journey when I'm so close to the end of mine. I know how important and life changing a mission can be and hope he learns everything Heavenly Father needs him to learn. We also met two of his mom's friends who are interested in investigating the church! They are super nice and excited to learn!

Zone Conference - We had a Zone Conference where our President gave us some new guidelines and goals concerning our mission. We received training from some mission leaders about obeying the Lord's standards, making and keeping sacred covenants, and establishing the kingdom of God here on the earth. I also gave a talk yesterday about how we can use family history to help us, our families, and others perform the sacred ordinances needed to return to Heavenly Father, and helping others to do so. And Sister Schenk spoke on establishing the Church. What a great plan the Lord has for us! Obey, Covenant, Establish.

Saturday was a full day! - The main part was we took people we are teaching to the church to participate in cleaning the church with some members but when we got there, they were doing Zumba! So they joined in and then after the fun & dancing they helped clean the church. After that, Andrea had her baptismal interview! We taught Jonavie's kids english spelling while Andrea was being interviewed. Super fun! They spelled my name pretty easily but were stumped with Sister Schenks haha (pronounced like shank) We were very tired at the end. But we're okay!

Love you all! I appreciate your prayers, thoughts, and emails!
