Week 79 (Bacolod) (letter only)
Maayong aga sa inyo tanan for the last time!
I can't believe that time has flown so fast and that the time has arrived for me to come home. There's so much I want to say, but not enough time. I love my mission, all the hard times, laughs, spiritual experiences, people I met, places I went to, foods I tried, Christlike attributes I strived to develop, the doctrine of Jesus Christ I learned and internalized, etc. It is sacred to me. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I know that this experience has changed me and set me on the path Heavenly Father wants me to be on for my future. I wish I had more time to explain my feelings but I'll just have to do that in person.
Here's some awesome things that happened this week!
I went on exchanges with Sister Regacho and it was so fun! We talked to lots of people and I enjoyed the chance to get to know her. She's awesome!
Dan and Gamay were baptized on Saturday, it was so exciting! President and Sister Sumagpao as well as Elder and Sister Willis attended their baptism. The ward members were all there in their Sunday best and the Relief Society even performed a special musical number. Dan and Gamay's two daughters and their families also came! It was the perfect way to start their membership sa Simbahan ni JesuCristo sang mga Santos sa Ulihing mga Adlaw.
The Willis' worked with us on Saturday and we found lots of new people and helped a woman pump water from a bomba. Elder Willis and I took turns pumping water, it was certainly an arm workout!
Jonavie and her husband and all her kids came to church on Sunday!!! We took a family picture for them and then with them. Her husband has never come to church before, he was smiling the whole time and even attended Elders Quorum by himself. We are so excited for Jonavie's baptism this Saturday and hopefully next time for her husband to join them!
So many miracles have happened in this last week. Even the last few days. I know that running through the finish line is the way to give 100% even at the last moments. And I've seen the blessings and miracles that have come from it. I love this mission. I love the people I've served. I love the Lord. I hope that I have done what He wanted me to accomplish and that He accepts my sacrifice and service to Him.
Love you all! See you soon :)
Sister Bingham
