Maayong aga!!!!
This week started with another training and exchanges in Bacolod North Zone. It was fun working with Sister Saure and Sister Ferreria in a tri companionship. It was fun to be in an area that was 100% city, I miss seeing all the sugar cane fields and the fresh air in the mountains.
When I came back, I was super excited to hear that one of our people being taught just had her baby! Ella and Lehi are proud to have their first child. His name is Skyler. We always joked about naming her child Joseph Smith because the father's name is Lehi, literally straight from the Book of Mormon. And he has a twin, you know what his name is? Nephi :D their mom is one of the pioneer members of the church and her sons are members but Ella, Lehi's soon to be wife, is not. Such a great experience helping families to grow and be founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ!
Spyke and Kira got baptized! Their parents are both members of the church but were inactive. The father's mother talked to us at church one day to see if we could visit her son's family. So we did! We discovered that Spyke (10) and Kira (8) had not yet been baptized. So we taught Spyke along with his family and it is literally my favorite appointment of the day. Their family is so so cute and they are coming back into full activity! We saw their father pay tithing on Sunday and got so excited because we know one day they will go to the temple to be sealed as a family!!!
Fun story about Yhurie, their 5 year old son, during a lesson he was playing with a sticker I gave him and it fell through the cracks of the bamboo floor and instead of crying or shouting he just quietly sat back. I was shocked. We got him a new sticker, no worries :) CUTEST FAMILY EVER!
That's all for this week! Love you all!
