Week 63 (Bacolod)

Maayong aga sa inyo tanan!

This week FLEW! Sister Clarke and I, as Sister Training Leaders, conduct exchanges where we switch with other companionships to see how they are doing in their companionship and in the missionary work. Last transfer, we did one for one week, but this last week we did 3 in a row. Very exhausting but lots of fun too. I got to work with Sister Bergman (3 months in the field), Sister Christensen (4 months in the field), and Sister Bise (1 week in the field). I enjoyed seeing how their different strengths and talents contribute to the work. Here's a couple thing that happened:
One of our people being taught loves to speak English, and he's pretty good at it but not always 100% correct. He kept telling Sister Bergman to speak English cause she's kind of newish but she spoke in Ilonggo :) His 7 year old daughter walked in and sat down and he patted her on the head and introduced her saying, "this is my son." It was pretty funny.

When I worked with Sister Christensen in Talisay, we were trying to find this referral and it was already dark and we were having trouble. We asked some people and they took us to the guard house at the front of the neighborhood and they sent someone on a motorcycle to go find the person for us. They were very kind and helpful and we did find Jenny, who we were looking for. She welcomed us into her home and we had a great first lesson and they are excited for the missionaries to visit them again next time. It was also interesting to see how I've grown as a missionary. That I wasn't shy or quiet but am able to be bold and make people laugh and really teach for their understanding and listening to what they have to say. It was a good moment :)

Lastly, with Sister Bise it was startling to remember how much of the language you don't actually understand at first. But she was great to work with and we taught some solid lessons and she learned a lot so it was a success!

Sunday night we joined the ward choir for the Stake Christmas Devotional. It was lots of fun! We sang a Tagalog song, Carol of the Bells, and The Holy City. Tons of fun :) The Filipinos are just so musically talented and I love it!

Christmas is coming! It's the best! Happy December! Love you all! LIGHT THE WORLD

Sister Bingham

**Not many pictures this week. Sister Bingham was uploading pictures from her companions camera and they got virused and she lost them all.   She was sad to lose the pictures and videos.  Better luck next week!
